QUIET CUBE
Quiet Cube builds and installs sound attenuation generator enclosures for home, office, and commercial generators. Each cube is custom made to fit the clients genset and we guarantee a noise reduction well within municipal limits from 57 – 70 decibels. Quiet Cubes are well established with large complexes and estates that demand low noise compliance for residential generators. Quiet Cube can also be used for compressors and other noisy equipment.
Domestic generator enclosures
- Our ‘Portabox’ enclosure is designed for small 2k-3kw inverter generators and has easy pull tabs for fast breakdown and assembly, ideal for campers.
- Our medium size box is suitable for open frame generators up to 7.5kva.
- Our large size box is ideal for closed frame ‘silent’ generators from 5kv to 15kva.

ABOUT QUIET CUBE
Designed using technology derived from our experience in the air conditioning industry, the Quiet Cube is a combination of lightweight galvanised steel, high output cooling fans, quality high heat resistant sound absorbent wool (not sponge) and a fire-resistant cloth for a professional finish.
Our early research was helped by using many temperature probes, understanding the natural cooling of each generator, tied with long hours of running various generators to configure the best place for fans for the cooling and circulation of hot air.
The result, after two years of research, trial and error, is a safe, effective and well-cooled generator enclosure that reduces noise by a minimum of 10 decibels.

Is it just for generators?
No, it can be used for reducing the noise of many typical outdoor or indoor products like compressors etc. All our Quiet Cubes are custom made for your product where possible.
Will the generator overheat?
No, we believe we have used the best products we can source and we custom design each generator box for optimum performance using high performance fans and custom exhaust reticulation. In the unlikely event of complete failure of all fans or poor maintenance then obviously there is a chance of overheating, but with the proper maintenance and care this should not be a worry for you.
Is it weatherproof?
Yes it is designed for all weather applications, coastal or inland.
Is Quiet Cube acceptable for residential estates with noise limits?
Yes it is. We have been confirmed as sole suppliers for some large estates in Midrand and Centurion for any residents who have a generator. The average 7.5kva generator operates below 70 decibels when enclosed in a Quiet Cube, this is acceptable to most residential estate bylaws.
QUIET CUBE FOR COMPRESSORS
This is a custom made sound reducing box with cooling fans made for a client who uses a small noisy compressor for spray painting. Results were impressive at 61 decibels @ 3 metres.
